I’m trying to understand if it’s possible to get a medical card for my parents (aged 67 & 64).Â
Intent is to cover hospitalisation / procedures etc but I’m happy to take on any out patient costs.Â
Both my parents currently don’t have any major illness but my dad did have cancer before but am fine if that’s not covered in case there is a recurrence.
Am told that because of the age it would not be possible. Any suggestions or advice?
Thanks !
Arvind, most medical card last entry age is 70 so yes, it is still possible. Your limitation will be your budget, which is how much?
Thanks for the response.
Errr… By how much do you mean the premium or the coverage amount?
Is there a table etc that I can refer to?Â
Well Arvind, if you are thinking:
"I have a budget of 1000/month to cover for my parents medically, guaranteed renewable at the same premium until they are 80"
Then Yes, you certainly still have options to consider
Conversely, if you are thinking:
"I have only a budget of 300/month for both of them, and I want the coverage and premium to be guaranteed renewable at the same rate until they are 80"
Then, Nope, there is no need to consider any options because they are none.
